Scratch Cards

My third and fifth graders LOVE Scratch. Scratch is a block based coding website, created by MIT, where the kids can code games and stories. Go to scratch.mit.edu to check it out.

It can be hard to get starting in scratch, but fear not. I have the perfect resource to help jump start your child’s coding journey. In class we use these scratch cards that give step by step instructions on how to make simple games or activities. The kids enjoy the sense of accomplishment they feel when they finish a card set and they are learning Scratch tools, and life skills, as they go.
